Our tour guides are rarely available because they work both abroad and domestically.

As a customer support, I am constantly available so you can get the fastest response from me. I know the position of the tour guides, I know when they can be contacted.

After receiving the order placed on the website, I will contact the selected tour guide based on the group language, the choice of the guide, the needs and availability. After that, I will send you the contact details of the tour guide so you can directly contact each other for further consultation.

„Guide of the Year” in Sopron, 2009

In the 20 years that I have been working in tourism, I have guided several private tours, conference guests and tour groups in Sopron & surroundings – much to my guests’ satisfaction, according to their feedbacks.

In my work I attempt to give over human qualitites beyond knowledge about Hungary, my town Sopron and its surroundings. I find it essential that my guests have a pleasent time here, good to think back of afterwards.

In addition to the Hungarian language I lead the city tours in English. I am accredited guide at Esterházy Castle in Eisenstadt, too.

I am looking forward to welcoming you in & around Sopron.

Taschner Tamás

Taschner Tamás

tour guide, citizen of Sopron, lover of tales and legends

As a local patriot and tour guide, I passionately research the city's past and history; I look for interesting stories.

In my sightseeing tours, historical loyalty meets the city's legendary, fairy and witches.

Sopron differently - in addition to my motto, that is, the Sopron of travel guides, I would like to show the secrets of the tiny streets, quiet spaces, houses, stones.

I work in Hungarian and German.

tour guide

I have been living in Sopron since 2008 and I participate in the cultural and tourist life of the city. During my guided tours, I like to introduce my beloved city through personal experiences and lesser-known stories. Perhaps "learning through entertainment" is what best characterizes my walks.

I work in Hungarian and German.

Sopron is particularly close to my heart: a multifaceted city, where the work and past of 70-80 generations have left their mark. During each walk, the rich history of the city and the love of the people living here are revealed, which shines through every detail. I have been involved in tourism for more than 40 years. I am currently active as a pensioner, and I continue to work as a Hungarian-speaking tour guide. To see, get to know, fall in love with the world – and to return home with experiences: this is the essence of my profession.
